A Bit About Me
Wendi Baptist-McGehee is the founder and owner of Tree of Life Counseling and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigate life's challenges with compassion and evidence-based care. With more than 15 years of experience in social work and mental health, Wendi has served in a variety of clinical and leadership roles, providing therapy, supervising clinicians, and developing behavioral health programs throughout Southern California. She believes every individual has the capacity for healing and growth and is passionate about creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped to build meaningful, lasting change.

Experience
Wendi has over two decades of experience providing individual, couples, family, and group therapy in private practice, community mental health, foster care, and community-based programs. Throughout her career, she has held positions including Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, Behavioral Health Program Supervisor, Assistant Clinical Director, Social Work Supervisor, Senior Social Worker, and many more.
She has extensive experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, behavioral challenges, and family conflict using evidence-based approaches, including CBT, EMDR, play therapy, art therapy, and other trauma-informed interventions.
In addition to her clinical work, Wendi is committed to mentoring and supervising the next generation of therapists while continuing to expand access to quality mental health care through Tree of Life Counseling.
